Introduction to Wheel Throwing

Introduction to Sculpture
Learn how to make a 3 dimensional design on ceramic tiles or a simple beginning clay sculpture.

Introduction to Hand-building
Use textured clay slab, coil and pinch techniques to make boxes, vases and plates, with fun textures and more.
Private Lessons
One-on-One:
90 Mins of Instruction
Potter’s Wheel - You will make two pots on the wheel. Shape bowls, cups, or flower pots! After the pottery is made a color selection of glazes will be provided for you to choose from.
Pottery will be ready for pickup 3-4 weeks later.
All Instruction Includes:
- Clay, firings, and glaze
- The service of glazing your work from a choice of 4 dipping glazes

Bring a Friend or More:
Up to 2 Hours of Instruction
Potter’s Wheel with Friends - Each person makes two pots on the wheel. Shape bowls, cups or flower pots! After the pottery is made a color selection of glazes will be provided for participants to choose from.
Pottery will be ready for pickup 3-4 weeks later.

We offer one-time classes for beginners, private beginner classes or events, such as birthday parties or date nights. You can see our calendar and book online HERE
Do you offer outside firing?
We do offer Gas/Soda firing services for non-members at this time. Complete this FORM
What is included with Intro classes?
When you sign up for an Intro course with us, you'll get eight weeks of classes. All tools & clay and firing is included.
What if I miss a class?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer makeup classes at this time. We strive to keep a low student-to-teacher ratio (8:1) to ensure all students receive personalized instruction, and in doing so we are unable to provide makeup opportunities. However, the teacher will do what they can within the class time (such as giving you extra clay) to make up for what is possible.
What do I need to bring to class?
Clay and tools are included! Just wear clothes you are comfortable getting clay on, and shoes that are suited for the studio environment.
What are the studio hours?
Monday through Friday 9 am-1 pm & 6:30 pm-9 pm
Weekends 9 am-5 pm
How do I sign up for membership? In person, or online?
We require that members join in person so that we can show you around and meet you! We offer two Orientations per month and will be happy to send a calendar invitation as long as we have space available in the studio!
What's included in the membership?
Studio Members have access to the studio during open studio hours (Mon-Fri 9 am-1 pm & 6:30 pm-9 pm and Weekends 9 am-5 pm) You’ll have use of our work tables, equipment, and our 30+ Cone 5/6, Raku & Cone 10 glazes. Studio Members can add a weekly member class for an additional $15 to their monthly membership fee. Studio Members have access to Cone 10 Gas firing in our nearby kiln location. You’ll have discounted access to monthly Gas/Soda and quarterly Raku firing in our San Gregorio location. Discounted firing for Wood Fire* and Pit Firing in our San Gregorio location. *Priority enrollment in our Wood Firing program.
Key Members have all the above; except in addition they will have 24 hour access to the studio.
Home Members have access to the studio during open studio hours to pick up, drop off, and glaze. Home members have access to all our firing types.
Key Membership Exchange
This is available to all membership types; offering 24/7 access to our two locations in exchange for 1.5 hours of volunteer work monthly in addition to your regular membership dues.

Great place to learn pottery and enjoy the community of artists.
